I’m responsible for…
Marketing & Business Support for the sales function in UK & Ireland. This involves taking the direction from our central brand function and then tailoring that to our local markets, so we adapt to suit the UK & Irish market respectively. We report into the brand home, which is in Germany, with a great deal of heritage, and we will take their ideas and utilise in our markets.

The most enjoyable part of my role is…
Working with a variety of different individuals and teams with different backgrounds and cultures, which give you a great deal of enjoyment and challenges, all rolled into one.

The least enjoyable part of my role is…
The distribution channel. All have different agendas and challenges, which have an impact even on the simplest of tasks.

My approach to marketing is…
Keep it simple! Quite often we all get so involved in all the complexities, and variation. But quite often the simplest of approaches produce the most effective campaigns.

The highlight of my career so far would be…
All the different countries that I have visited. Some of which I definitely would not have chosen to visit, but others that it really is a pleasure to have seen and met so many people.

I would say the best advice I’ve been given is…
Stay focussed and always keep positive. Negativity has a severe impact on you and others around you.

The person I most admire is…
Jonny Wilkinson – as an individual, he is totally focussed and dedicated to himself, his teammates and all around him. His ability is second to none and it is very difficult to find fault in anything he does.

When I was a child I wanted to be…
A farm manager. Ever since I was a boy, I was constantly over the back fence and watching the local dairy farmer, and getting involved in all aspects of what was going on, on the farm. This is where my love for agriculture and the outdoor life evolved.

If I could drive any car it would be…
A Lamborghini Aventador
